Heck if he was apologetic, showed some remorse, and/or offered me free kids sodas next time we were in I would have felt contented. His reply, "no, I have been getting these calls all night!" Well that should tell you something. I offered to put new cheese on the pizzas and heat them in my oven, but felt we should be compensated for this awful experience, letting him know we frequented his establishment. The only option they offered was to come get the pizzas and bring new pizzas in about "45" minutes? Really? At this time it was after 8:00 pm and staving off 6 hungry kids and the group of adults for another "45" minutes (no doubt meaning 90) was not an option. Third: when I called to have this addressed or receive some type of customer service, i had to escalate to the manager and requested some type of expedited service/replacement. Second: when we received the pizzas, the cheese and toppings were stuck to the box top and/or slid off the edges. after they said 45 minutes (we are within 2 miles). First: the pizzas took over 90 minutes to be delivered. When we held a gathering at our home, we decided to get pinocchio's pizza for dinner. We had frequented pinocchio's on a couple occasions as a family and were satisfied with the service and pizza. But, get there before 6 or after 7:30 on a Saturday as it gets really busy! One way or the other, check this place out.and ask for Georgia! More I couldn't stop eating the pizza and while I was convinced we'd have leftovers. Hubby had the pitcher of beer special and I had a half carafe of chianti. We got a large pie, cut Chicago style, with half pepperoni and half onions and peppers with anchovies on the side and had a Cannoli for dessert. The pizza was amazing - literally the best I've had in the local area.
Great specials too (large pizza and pitcher of beer for 17.99 or a large pizza and dozen wings for 18.99). The owner, Mike, comes out several times during the course of the evening and chats with his guests - so many of which are obviously regulars.
We walked in and immediately caught the aroma - you know the one - freshly made dough, breads, sauce, etc. Not to take anything at all from the other ladies - they are all moving fast and working hard, pleasant and friendly. You simply must ask for Georgia - she's only the best waitress you'll ever have. I am truly disappointed.that we hadn't ever been here before! OMG - beyond the really fabulous pizza (and I was raised on NY pizza and my husband has been around pizza and Italian restaurants since he was five years old), the service and the vibe of the place is just absolutely fantastic. We wondered what all these locals knew that we didn't. Happened to drive past this place one Saturday evening, leaving another establishment, and while the place we had just left was pretty empty, this place was hopping. They ruined any future business from me or any references from me. I will never go back due to the rudeness of staff alone. Needless to say we would’ve spent at least 200 bucks today and would’ve been repeat customers.
My wife tried to explain that if we hadn’t been sitting for twenty minutes after we got our drinks without a food order to the owner/manager we would stay, he rudely interrupted her and said our group was too big. While we were paying for our drinks, the waitress said are you sure, while the owner/manager came out and said let them pay for their drinks and leave. The waitress never came to take our order, so we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. We were the only ones in the restaurant besides two other people who came in after us and had already received their meals and were almost finished eating. Twenty minutes later and we still hadn’t even gotten to order our food. We got seated and ordered our drinks and about 10 minutes in we got served our drinks. I expected it to be a while for the food to be prepared. Today, I visited with a large group after church and there was 19 of us.
